Dr. Georgi Djambazov is a Senior Lecturer in Multi-Physics Simulation at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, University of Greenwich. He joined in 1995 as a PhD student and became a researcher after completing his doctorate in Computational Aeroacoustics in 1998. His educational background includes an MEng in Fluids Engineering from Technical University of Sofia and an MSc in Decision Support Systems from the University of Sunderland. His research focuses on numerical modeling of industrial processes involving liquid metals, including semi-levitation melting, aluminum electrolysis, vacuum arc remelting, and electromagnetic melt purification. Since 2005, he has led the development of the PHYSICA software package, a multi-physics computational environment for simulating interrelated physical phenomena. His work integrates mesh generation and visualization tools to enhance engineering simulations. Dr. Djambazov's expertise spans thermal stress management, electromagnetic field applications in material processing, and environmental modeling through Lagrangian particle dispersion methods. He maintains a strong emphasis on creating vendor-independent computational tools for scientific and industrial applications.
