Laurianne Van Landeghem is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences at North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Her research focuses on the interactions between intestinal epithelial cells and their microenvironment, particularly examining the role of the enteric nervous system in health and disease states. Collaborating with researchers at UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Health, she has made seminal contributions to understanding how enteric neurons and glial cells regulate colon carcinogenesis and intestinal barrier functions.
