Joan Rodón Mòdol is an Associate Professor at the Department of Operations, Innovation and Data Sciences in Esade Business School, Ramon Llull University. His research focuses on information systems, interorganizational networks, and digital infrastructure dynamics. He has led or participated in 14 research projects, including the ongoing 'Business Network Dynamics' funded by the Agència de Gestió d'Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca (AGAUR). His work addresses governance configurations, organizational learning from IT incidents, and the evolution of digital systems. He has published extensively in top journals like MIS Quarterly and the Journal of Information Technology. Rodón Mòdol’s contributions span theoretical frameworks such as assemblage theory applied to information systems and the study of core-periphery structures in digital infrastructures. He has secured multiple grants, including internal URL awards (2019-2021) and a MINECO grant on digital common goods governance (2019-2021). His research aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to innovation and infrastructure.
