Cory Beard is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Trevecca Nazarene University's School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas and previously served as a professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His research focuses on wireless communication networks, AI-driven communication optimization, resilient power systems, and air traffic control survivability. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed papers (1,700+ citations) and co-authored the textbook Wireless Communication Networks and Systems (Pearson Prentice Hall, 2016).
