She previously served as Programme Director of the MSc Human Resource Management (2021-2024) and Academic Director of the Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability Committee (2021-2024). As a Fellow of the HEA, she contributes significantly to both teaching and research within the Organisation Studies department. With a background combining economics training and sociological approaches, she takes a mixed-methods perspective to studying work experiences of expert labor, home-based and hybrid workers across various sectors including healthcare professionals, lobbyists, and data scientists. Her recent publications reveal a strong focus on hybrid work dynamics, workplace trust, and the implications of remote work arrangements following the pandemic. The research trends indicate increasing attention to the boundaries between work and personal life, the impact of socio-economic factors on work experiences, and the evolving nature of professional relationships in contemporary work environments. Fellow of the HEA Lila has secured multiple research grants including UKRI/ESRC funding for pandemic-related work studies and collaborations with tech industry partners on four-day workweek trials. She has led the Research Insights stream of the University of Edinburgh Hybrid Work Group (2020-2022) and currently oversees several active projects on flexible work arrangements and workplace inclusion. Her research activities span multiple domains including hybrid work frameworks, medical tourism, professional ethics, and workplace sociology, demonstrating a commitment to addressing contemporary challenges in work organization through interdisciplinary approaches.
