Abdul Erumban is an Assistant Professor & GEM Fellow at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Groningen, with prior degrees from the University of Calicut and the Centre for Development Studies (India). His research focuses on productivity, technological change, structural transformation, and the impact of digitalization on economies, particularly in developing nations like India, China, and Middle Eastern countries. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Conference Board and has collaborative roles with organizations such as the Reserve Bank of India’s India KLEMS project and The World Bank. Erumban’s work explores global value chains, intangible assets, and economic development. Recent studies include analyzing productivity trends in GCC economies and the role of ICT in reducing informality. He has published extensively in journals like the International Productivity Monitor and World Development. His expertise aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing poverty reduction and sustainable growth. Collaborations span institutions worldwide, reflecting his global research impact.
