Fatma Pınar Çakmak

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Pınar Çakmak serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Architecture. With a PhD in Building Sciences (2008-2014) and a Master's in Project Production and Management (2005-2008), she specializes in Project and Construction Management. She has held administrative roles including Program Head (2022-present) and Erasmus Coordinator (2019).

Her research spans construction disputes, digital construction technologies, building economics, and gender-based discrimination in the construction industry. She has published extensively in journals like Construction Economics and Building and Smart and Sustainable Built Environment. Her work emphasizes practical applications of BIM, digital twins, and competency frameworks for construction professionals.
