Henry Miller is a Vice Chancellors Fellow at Northumbria University's Department of Humanities. His research focuses on petitions and petitioning in modern Britain and globally, examining their role in social history, political culture, collective action, and democratization through comparative frameworks in Europe and North America. His work intersects with colonial and post-colonial contexts, emphasizing historical research methods. PhD in History (Queen Mary University of London) MA and BA (Hons) in History His research spans from medieval petitioning to 20th-century political engagement, with a focus on democratization, legislative processes, and civic participation. Key projects include Leverhulme Trust-funded work and AHRC-ESRC collaborations on petitioning's societal impact.
