Paula Rodríguez-Modroño is an Associate Professor at Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, Spain, specializing in Feminist Economics and Gender Inequalities . She leads the Interdisciplinary Centre of Feminist, Women's, and Gender Studies (CINEF) , directs the Master Programme in Gender and Equality , and chairs the Gender Observatory on Economics, Politics & Development (Gep&DO) . She serves as Vicepresident of the EUFEM Network and President of the Asociación de Economía Crítica . Her research focuses on the impact of digitalization, gig economies, and platform capitalism on gender relations and care work. Notable projects include the CAREFEM project (2024-2027) analyzing healthcare platformization through a feminist lens, and the GENDER4REV project (2020-2024) studying digitalization's role in gender inequalities. Education includes a PhD in Economics from Universidad de Sevilla, an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Economics from the University of Essex. She has held visiting researcher positions at SOAS, University of Modena & Reggio Emilia, and the University of Manchester. Awards include the Seville Town Council Prize 2020 and the Meridiana Prize 2017 for gender equality research. Her work bridges feminist theory with policy analysis, emphasizing care work's economic and social dimensions.
