Christoph Sextroh is a researcher at the Department of Accountancy within the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM) at Tilburg University, Netherlands. He holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Mannheim and has been a visiting researcher at London Business School and the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. His research lies at the intersection of financial accounting and capital markets, with a focus on empirical accounting , capital market communication , financial analysts , investor relations , FinTech , and the political economy of accounting regulation . His work has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Accounting Research , Journal of Business Finance & Accounting , and Journal of Empirical Finance . Christoph teaches financial accounting and corporate communication at the master's level, as well as data analytics and narrative-oriented courses for PhDs and executives. He has also taught financial statement analysis, earnings management, mergers and acquisitions accounting, and securities valuation. His recent publications analyze diverse topics ranging from managerial communication styles and information bundling effects to political motivations in accounting regulation and investor risk perceptions. These works collectively highlight trends in information dissemination, behavioral aspects of financial reporting, and institutional influences on capital markets.
