Jeng-Chung Chen is a Professor and Distinguished Professor at the Institute of International Management (IMBA), College of Management, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. He has held leadership roles including Director of the Institute of International Management (2012–2018) and currently serves as Director of the Taiwan Pan-Asia Prospect Research Center since 2016. Education: Ph.D. in Communication and Information Sciences, University of Hawaii at Manoa (2002) His research centers on electronic commerce, information systems, information ethics, project management, and IS service quality. His work explores user behavior in digital environments, including social media engagement, cloud computing adoption, privacy concerns, and consumer impulse buying in augmented and virtual reality shopping. He has made significant contributions to understanding user satisfaction, online trust, and the impact of technology design on user behavior. His recent publications (2025–2011) span top journals in human-computer interaction and information systems, revealing a strong trend toward studying immersive technologies (AR/VR), live streaming commerce, and coping with digital overload. These works integrate behavioral theories with empirical methods, often using PLS-SEM and experimental designs. He is affiliated with key research centers at NCKU, including the Taiwan Pan-Asia Prospect Research Center, where he leads initiatives on regional digital transformation and cross-border e-commerce. His lab and research team focus on behavioral experiments, survey-based studies, and data analytics in digital consumer behavior and organizational IT adoption.
