Frank Chuang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at National Chengchi University's College of Business in Taiwan. He joined the faculty in August 2024 and specializes in the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and sustainability.
Education:
- PhD from University College London (2016-2022)
- MSc in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC Paris
- MBA in Information Management from National Taiwan University
- BBA in Information Management from National Taiwan University
Dr. Chuang's research focuses on Sustainable Development, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Smart Cities. His work bridges technology and social sciences, with particular emphasis on decentralized finance (DeFi), trust governance systems, and computational social science using agent-based modeling. His research demonstrates how data-driven approaches can address complex sustainability challenges in urban environments.
His publication in the prestigious Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) on sustainable mobility governance reflects his interdisciplinary approach that combines technical expertise with social science perspectives to solve real-world problems.

Prior to his current position, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Alan Turing Institute and worked as a Consultant at IBM Taiwan.
