Deepak Sardana is an Associate Professor in the School of Management at RMIT University's College of Business & Law, joining in February 2024. His research focuses on strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, and international business, with particular emphasis on Asian markets (China and India). He has authored/co-authored influential works like Conducting Business in China and India (2017) and Weathering the Storm in China and India (2020). Deepak holds a PhD in Business Administration from The Australian National University, alongside an MBA from Griffith University and advanced degrees in Science Policy and Social Work.
Administrative Roles: Previously served as Program Director for International MBA and Master of Management programs at UniSA Business, Discipline Leader for Entrepreneurship and Marketing at Griffith Business School, and co-director of the Centre for Enterprise Dynamics in Global Economics. He has also held consulting roles in industry and government sectors.
Grants & Funding: Secured grants from the Australian Research Council’s Discovery Grant and Australia-Japan Foundation Grant. Actively seeks competitive research funding and collaborates on projects involving emerging economies, corporate strategy, and sustainability.
Teaching: Teaches courses such as Fundamentals of Business Strategy & Innovation and New Venture Creation, emphasizing practical applications of entrepreneurship and innovation theories.
