Dr. Mutlu Ozdogan is an Associate Professor of Forest and Wildlife Ecology and Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, jointly appointed in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies and Department of Forest Ecology & Management. He investigates land-use/land-cover conversion and climate change impacts on global water/energy cycles using satellite remote sensing. His research focuses on: Crop monitoring and yield assessment through satellite data Water resource management in arid regions Agricultural sustainability under climate change Development of earth observation algorithms He leads projects on global irrigation mapping and sustainability assessments, supported by NASA, NSF, and international governments. As co-chair of ISPRS Working Group on Land Cover Dynamics, he contributes to global agricultural monitoring initiatives.
