Anu Asnaani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Utah's College of Social and Behavioral Science. She directs the Treatment Mechanisms, Community Empowerment, & Technology Innovations (TCT) Lab. Her research examines mechanisms of change in anxiety disorders, OCD and PTSD, with emphasis on emotion regulation and cultural factors. Her work focuses on improving mental health outcomes for diverse communities globally and leveraging technology for innovative assessment and treatment approaches. She has developed culturally responsive frameworks for trauma interventions and health equity initiatives, with significant work in Caribbean nations and diverse U.S. communities. Dr. Asnaani has received multiple honors including the APA Division 52 Outstanding Early Career Psychologist Award. Her publications reflect a strong focus on cross-cultural adaptation of evidence-based treatments, technological innovations in mental health, and addressing healthcare disparities.
