Belinda Garth is a Senior Research Fellow & Translation Lead at Monash University's Monash Centre for Health Research & Implementation (MCHRI), where she leads the national Advancing Women in Healthcare Leadership initiative since April 2021. Previously, she worked in general practice vocational training (2014–2021), focusing on research, evaluation, and educational development. Her career began as a qualitative research consultant addressing doctor-patient communication and healthcare access. She holds a PhD from La Trobe University (2006), focusing on doctor-parent-child partnerships in pediatric disability care.
Belinda's research spans qualitative methodologies, medical education, public health, and gender equity. Her recent work emphasizes systemic barriers to women's leadership in healthcare, organizational strategies for inclusivity, and rural health initiatives.
