Yuliy Baryshnikov is a Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), affiliated with the Department of Mathematics and the Coordinated Science Lab (CSL). He holds dual roles in the College of Engineering and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research spans nonlinear dynamics, applied topology, stochastic processes, robotics, and network science, with contributions to cybersecurity, healthcare technologies, and quantum computing. Education and Career: Previously served as Member of Technical Staff (2001–2005) and Department Head (2005–2011) at Bell Labs, NJ. Holds prestigious awards including the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (1992), Lady Davis Professorship (2003), and Simons Fellowship in Mathematics (2023).
