Dr. Ying Chen is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering. Her research focuses on developing data science methodologies for transportation challenges, specializing in machine learning applications for network optimization and smart city systems. She earned her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University, with industry experience as a lead data scientist enhancing real-world system implementations.
