Associate Professor Weidong Xiao is affiliated with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Sydney, part of the Faculty of Engineering. He holds a MASc and PhD from the University of British Columbia, Canada. His research focuses on power electronics, photovoltaic systems, and renewable energy integration, with notable contributions to wireless power transfer, DC microgrids, and grid stability. He is a member of the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre and the Net Zero Institute, reflecting his commitment to sustainable energy solutions. His work includes authored books such as Power Electronics Step-by-Step (2020) and Photovoltaic Power System: Modeling, Design and Control (2017).
