Dr. Mark Flegg is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics at Monash University. He holds a PhD in mathematical modelling of aerosol physics from Queensland University of Technology (2010) and has completed postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford's Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics (OCCAM). His research focuses on applied mathematics in biological systems, including mathematical biology, cell biology, stochastic processes, and biomedical modelling.

- Mathematical Biology: Modelling malaria dynamics, wound healing, and developmental processes

- Systems Biology: Signalling pathways (Wnt/β-catenin) and biochemical network analysis
