Mehdi Ghazavi Dozein

Dr. Mehdi Ghazavi Dozein is a Lecturer in Power and Energy Systems at Monash University's Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering (Melbourne, Australia), with a previous role as Associate Lecturer at the University of Melbourne (2021–2023). He holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne and an MSc from the University of Tehran, specializing in Power Systems.

His research focuses on power system dynamics and stability, system strength analysis, grid integration of renewables, and control of inverter-based technologies, particularly in weak grids. He investigates challenges in modern power systems, including operational resilience and hydrogen integration.

Mehdi is a Senior Member of IEEE and serves on Australia’s CIGRE C4 Panel for Power System Technical Performance and the CIGRE Next Generation Network (NGN).
