Prof. Jutta Geldermann is a Full Professor and Chair Holder for Business Administration and Production Management at the University of Duisburg-Essen's Faculty of Engineering. She holds a diploma in Industrial Engineering and a PhD from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), followed by a habilitation in Business Administration. Her career includes leadership roles such as Full Professor and Chair Holder at Georg-August-University of Göttingen (2006-2018), Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, and Head of the Energy Economics Research Area at the Energy Research Center of Lower Saxony (2009-2018). Her research focuses on sustainable production and logistics systems, multi-criteria decision support, and life-cycle assessment (LCA), with over 50 industry- and publicly funded projects. Current roles include President of the German Operations Research Society (GOR) and Editor-in-Chief of the EURO Journal on Decision Processes . Research interests emphasize energy efficiency, renewable resources, and decision-making frameworks. She has led initiatives such as the DFG Research Training Group 1703 on resource efficiency in interorganizational networks. Professional engagements include board memberships in GOR, VHB (German Academic Association of Business Research), and the Energy Research Center Lower Saxony (EFZN). Publications span multi-criteria analysis, energy systems, and sustainable logistics, reflecting her expertise in bridging academic research with practical applications in industry and policy.
