Adjunct Professor José Luis Sánchez-Girón Renedo is affiliated with the Faculty of Canon Law at Comillas Pontifical University, specializing in Ecclesiastical Law of the State. He holds a Doctorate (2006) and Licentiate in Canon Law from Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome), with degrees in Law, Business Administration, and Theology from UP Comillas. Key research areas: Canon Law, Ecclesiastical Law, Church Criminal Procedure, and Child Protection. He teaches courses including The Hierarchical Constitution of the Church , Church Sanctions and Criminal Procedure , and Protection of Minors and Criminal Law Seminar . Previously serving as Head of Studies (2009-2012) and Vice Dean (2012-2018), he currently acts as an ad casum judge in the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of Madrid and provides canonical advice to institutions and individuals. Scientific Awards : Extraordinary Doctoral Award (2016), Pontifical Gregorian University. His publications focus on procedural guarantees, penal reforms, and clergy misconduct. He also engages in pastoral work, including marriage counseling and priestly ministry.
