Floor Fleurke is an Associate Professor at Tilburg Law School's Public Law & Governance department, affiliated with the Global Law & Governance research unit. Her work focuses on European environmental law, particularly the intersection of science, technology, and legal frameworks in the Anthropocene. She holds a PhD (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam (2012) and has extensive teaching experience across EU law, environmental law, and governance topics.
Her research emphasizes transformative legal approaches to climate challenges, including emissions trading system design for agriculture and biodiversity-energy nexus issues. She leads projects funded by the Netherlands Research Council, collaborating with international scholars and organizations. Notable contributions include analyses of the Nature Restoration Act proposal and legal frameworks for integrating agricultural emissions into EU climate policies.
