Jocelyn Downie is a University Research Professor in the Faculties of Law and Medicine at Dalhousie University and a member of the Dalhousie Health Law Institute. She holds advanced degrees from Queen’s University (BA, MA Philosophy), the University of Cambridge (MLitt Philosophy), the University of Toronto (LLB), and the University of Michigan (LLM, SJD). She clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada under Chief Justice Lamer. Her work focuses on end-of-life law, healthcare access, organ donation ethics, and reproductive rights.
