Steffi Weil is a Professor at both Antwerp Management School and the University of Antwerp, Belgium. She serves as Academic Director of the PhD program for executives, integrating her professional management experience with academic credentials. Her roles include curriculum development in international trade, politics, and lobbying between the EU and China. She has held concurrent positions as a Research Fellow at BICCS, Assistant Professor at Vesalius College, and Academic Director at Antwerp Management School. Education: She holds a joint doctorate in International Relations/Political Economy from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Johann Wolfgang Goethe University (Frankfurt), following master’s degrees from Goethe University (Germany) in International Relations/China and Bond University (Australia) in International Politics. Research focuses on global political economy with an emphasis on China, comparative politics across China, the European Union, and the United States, and EU-China lobbying dynamics. Teaching spans comparative studies, Asian geopolitics, international communication, and business strategy. She actively promotes student feedback loops between research and pedagogy. Committed to educational excellence, she serves on the Vesalius College Committee on Teaching Excellence and Innovation. Her advising includes bachelor’s and postdoctoral students on master’s theses and related research. She is affiliated with multidisciplinary programs like the Master in Global Supply Chain Management and executive-focused PhD initiatives.
