Dia ANAGNOSTOU is a Visiting Professor at the Interdepartmental European Advanced Studies (IDEAs) at the College of Europe in Bruges. She concurrently holds roles as a Senior Research Fellow at ELIAMEP and an Assistant Professor of Comparative Politics at Panteion University of Social Sciences. Her career includes research positions at the University of Cyprus, Princeton University, and the European University Institute in Florence.
Her research focuses on comparative politics, human rights, and European governance, with expertise in international law, courts, and supranational institutions. Key areas include the intersection of these fields with domestic politics, gender equality, minority rights, migrant rights, and protections for vulnerable groups. She has authored over fifty peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and is completing a manuscript on reforming immigration and minority policies through civil society engagement with the European Convention on Human Rights (forthcoming 2022).
Anagnostou has coordinated multiple research projects funded by the European Commission’s framework programs, addressing human rights, international legal institutions, and EU policies. Her work bridges theoretical and applied perspectives, contributing to policy design and rights advocacy in transnational contexts.
