Dorota Kozakiewicz serves as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, University of Warsaw, holding dual roles as Deputy Head of the Italian Section and Coordinator for Contacts with the Italian-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She concurrently works as Language Professor for Italian at the Languages and Intercultural Dialogue Office of the College of Europe's Natolin campus in Warsaw.
Her research specializes in linguistic conceptualization and the linguistic mechanisms constructing reality images in mass media discourses, underpinned by fifteen years of expertise teaching Italian and English as foreign languages. This expertise extends to her leadership in foreign language certification through the Coordination Council for Language Proficiency.
Professor Kozakiewicz actively participates in European-funded initiatives including IMAGACT (University of Florence collaboration), LLP Leonardo da Vinci HORIZON, AURORA, and OPEN THE DOOR projects under the Operational Program Human Capital. She contributes to the international TRANSIT research group for literary and transcultural translation and co-founded the bilingual cultural publication "Gazzetta Italia", demonstrating sustained engagement in cross-cultural academic exchange.
