Prof. Dr. Christiane Woopen is a Professor at the University of Bonn's Medical Faculty, leading the establishment of the Center for Life Ethics. Formerly, she was Managing Director of ceres (Cologne Center for Ethics, Rights, Economics, and Social Sciences of Health) and Chair of the German Ethics Council. She holds academic memberships in prominent institutions like Academia Europaea and the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on medical ethics, bioethics, and healthcare policy, with emphasis on aging societies, health literacy, and neuroethics.
