Giuseppe Pantaleo is a Full Professor of Social Psychology at Università Vita Salute San Raffaele (UniSR) since 2016. He has been actively involved in teaching courses such as Medicine as a Human Endeavor and Public Health across various degree programs including Psychology, Medicine, and Global Health. As an academic leader, he has served as President of the Degree Course in Psychological Sciences and Techniques and the Ordering Committee for Political Sciences at UniSR. Education : Degree in Psychology (University of Padova, 1991); Post-graduate grant at University of Muenster (1993-94); PhD in Social Psychology (University of Bielefeld, 1997). Research interests span cognitive, motivational, and emotional social psychology , with specific focus on terror management theory , expectancy violation in relationships , and theoretical model-building . His work often intersects with organizational psychology and social cognition . Scientific contributions include over 190 publications, with recent work analyzing social dynamics under ecological threats , masking effects on attraction , and theoretical blindspots in psychology . He has held editorial roles as Associate Editor of Motivation and Emotion and on committees for Psychology , European Journal of Social Psychology , and other journals. Awards include the 1998 DISSERTATIONSPREIS from Westfälisch-Lippische Universitaetsgesellschaft 2011 Premio Nazionale 'STUDI COGNITIVI' Leadership extends to roles in doctoral colleges, editorial boards (e.g., Motivation Science , Social Psychology ), and national research evaluation committees.
