Matt Davidson is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He holds a PhD from the University of Oregon and a BSc from the University of Lethbridge. Though currently not actively engaged in research, his research interests include cognitive control, executive function development, and gene-environment interactions influencing brain and cognitive development. These interests are reflected in his teaching, particularly his 391 seminar on Brain and Cognitive Development and the Methods of Inquiry course.
Davidson teaches courses such as Brain and Cognitive Development, Laboratory in Physiological Psychology, and Methods of Inquiry. His service contributions include unspecified current roles. Collaboratively, he has worked with Kyle Cave and Junha Chang on an fMRI project investigating attentional mechanisms. His publications span neurodevelopmental studies, ADHD-related neural correlates, and developmental cognitive control, as seen in his Google Scholar profile.
