Dr. Constantinos Vassiliades is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture, Land and Environmental Sciences at Neapolis University of Pafos. His academic career includes roles as a Research Associate at the University of Cyprus and Cyprus University of Technology, a Visiting Researcher at the University of Naples 'Federico II', and a Visiting Lecturer at Luleå University of Technology. He holds a PhD from the University of Cyprus (2018) focusing on solar energy system integration in buildings. Education: 2012 – Diploma in Architectural Engineering (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) 2018 – PhD in Architecture (University of Cyprus) Research interests center on sustainable building design , energy efficiency , renewable energy systems , and bioclimatic strategies . Notable projects include studies on photovoltaic integration in façades, energy performance certification discrepancies, and socio-economic barriers to sustainable housing adoption. Publications highlight themes like BIPV systems, double-skin façades, and clean energy policy in the Pacific Islands. Recent work emphasizes cross-climate comparisons (e.g., Sweden-Cyprus studies) and prefabricated housing solutions. Awards include the Best Graduate Award (2012) and selection as a Rising Researcher in the Commonwealth Futures Climate Cohort.
