Gülşah GEDİK is an Associate Professor at Trakya University Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, having been promoted from Assistant Professor in 2023. She previously served as Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology at the Institute of Health Sciences between February 2014 and February 2020, and was the Faculty Board Representative of Assistant Professors at the Faculty of Pharmacy between November 2013 and October 2016. Her academic journey began with her PhD from Marmara University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in 2012, following her graduation from Anadolu University Faculty of Pharmacy. Her research interests span across Pharmaceutical Technology , Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery , Cosmetic Science , and Phytochemistry . She has made significant contributions to the development of ocular drug delivery systems, anti-aging formulations, and bioactive compounds from natural sources like tea extracts and fungal compounds. Her work often bridges the gap between pharmaceutical technology and cosmetic applications, with numerous publications on nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems and natural product formulations. Dr. GEDİK's publication record shows a strong focus on advancing drug delivery technologies, particularly for ocular applications and cancer therapy. Her recent work (2024-2025) demonstrates expertise in nanosuspension technology, intravitreal delivery systems for age-related macular degeneration, and the application of natural compounds in cosmetic formulations. She has pioneered research on Fomes fomentarius mushroom applications and developed innovative formulations for dry eye disease treatment.
