Heather Brown is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta, specializing in supporting neurodivergent students. She leads the AIDAN Lab, collaborating with students and researchers to enhance academic achievement and wellbeing for autistic individuals. Her work emphasizes neurodiversity, participatory research, and inclusive educational practices. Education: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of Waterloo (2001) Ontario Teaching Certificate (2005) MEd and PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (focusing on Speech and Language Sciences), Western University (2009, 2013) Research Interests: Neurodivergent students, autism research, academic achievement, student wellbeing, participatory methods.
