Dr. Ha Nguyen is a Research Fellow at the Mitchell Institute, Victoria University. Previously, she held a Research Fellow position at the Education Innovation Hub (VU RISE). Her work focuses on tertiary education, graduate employability, international education systems, and the transition from education to work. She holds a PhD in Education from La Trobe University, a Master of Education from RMIT University, and a Bachelor of International Relations (Hons) from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. Her work emphasizes improving educational transitions and equitable access to professional development opportunities, particularly for marginalized groups like ethnic minorities in Vietnam. She has published extensively on micro-credentials, work-integrated learning effectiveness, and employer perceptions of graduate skills. Key Contributions: Her 2023 study on Australian higher education funding models proposed a Gonski-style needs-based framework, estimating A$1.3 billion annual funding increases. Collaborations include analyzing Vietnam’s education policies and Australian childcare accessibility through systematic reviews. She has been awarded prestigious scholarships including the La Trobe Postgraduate Research Scholarship. Supervision & Teams: Currently an associate supervisor for a PhD student and collaborates within interdisciplinary teams at the Mitchell Institute.
