Camilla Strömbäck is an Associate Professor at Linköping University's Department of Management and Engineering (IEI), affiliated with the Division of Economics (NEK). Her research focuses on behavioral economics, decision-making processes, and sustainable consumption, particularly exploring how affective reactions, self-control, and personality traits influence pro-environmental behaviors and economic choices.
Her work integrates insights from psychology and economics to address real-world challenges like waste prevention and circular economy solutions through projects such as STIGMA. She is a core member of the JEDI-lab, investigating intuition, reflection, and emotion in financial and environmental decision-making.
Key research themes include consumer attitudes toward remanufactured products, the role of affective forecasting in self-regulation, and the behavioral barriers hindering sustainable practices. Her findings contribute to policy design and business strategies promoting environmentally conscious behaviors.
