Arvid Erlandsson is a Senior Associate Professor at Linköping University's Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning (IBL), affiliated with the Division of Psychology (PSY). He is a core member of the JEDI-Lab, focusing on intuition, reflection, and emotion in economic decision-making. His research explores moral decision-making, particularly in helping situations, examining how emotions, cognitive processes, and contextual factors influence prosocial behavior.
Erlandsson holds a PhD from Lund University (2015) and has been a postdoctoral researcher at Linköping since 2015. His work bridges social psychology, behavioral economics, and environmental decision-making. Recent studies investigate politically motivated biases in consumer choices and climate change mitigation strategies. He has collaborated with researchers like Hulda Karlsson, Daniel Västfjäll, and Stephan Dickert.
He contributes to research groups like Cognitive Psychology – Decision, Emotion, Perception and JEDI-lab. His publications address topics such as beneficiary effects in charity, default nudges in environmental investments, and the psychological mechanisms behind prosocial decisions.
