Dorota Winnicka-Jasłowska is an Associate Professor at the Department of Design and Qualitative Research in Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland. She has maintained continuous academic service at the institution since 1995, progressing from Assistant through various departmental reorganizations to her current position since 2016. Her educational credentials include a Master's degree in Architectural Engineering (1994), PhD in Technical Sciences (2000) with dissertation on "Evolution of office facilities in the 20th century as a result of increasing users' needs," and DSc/habilitation (2016) based on the monograph "Learning space of a modern university. The role of pre-project research in the programming of new functions of universities." Professor Winnicka-Jasłowska's research program centers on human-centered design approaches in architecture. She specializes in planning building functions with careful consideration of user needs, integrating ergonomic principles into architectural solutions, and examining psychological aspects of environmental interactions.
