Zonghui Ding is a Research Assistant Professor at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) within the Bioinnovation and Genome Sciences Division. Prior to joining TGen, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Mayo Clinic, where he secured funding from Mayo Clinic and the Arizona Alzheimer’s Consortium.
Dr. Ding holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Zhejiang University in China. His research expertise spans molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, cancer biology, and neuroscience, with a focus on developing nanobodies and picobodies to target disease-critical proteins in Alzheimer’s disease and glioblastoma.
Recent publications highlight his work on glioblastoma invasion mechanisms, therapeutic strategies like CAR T-cell therapy, and metabolic pathways in cancer. Key contributions include elucidating TROY-EGFR signaling, PDZ-RhoGEF roles in tumor survival, and lipid metabolism in gastric cancer progression. His studies often intersect oncology, neuroscience, and protein targeting.
Dr. Ding’s collaborative efforts involve teams at TGen and Mayo Clinic, emphasizing innovative therapeutic platforms. He has contributed to understanding neuro-oncology and cancer stem cell biology, though no scientific awards or student advisories are documented in the provided texts.
