Zoltán Schepp is a university professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Pécs. He holds the academic rank of Associate Professor and has been actively involved in research and innovation as Deputy Dean since 2011. His roles include directing master's degree programs (2007-2011) and leading the double degree program with the University of Hagen.
- Education: Economics and German language translation (1991), Ph.D. in Economics (2004), habilitation (2011) at the University of Pécs.
Research Interests: His work focuses on flexible exchange rate theory and international financial relations. He has led the Pécs research group for an FP7 project (2013-2016) and coordinates the "Micro-perspective economic modeling" working group for the TÁMOP-4.2.2.C-11/1/KONV-2012-0005 "Well-being in the information society" initiative (2013-2014).
Publication Trends: Recent articles (2017-2018) analyze time-varying monetary policy models (e.g., Taylor rules) and exchange rate forecasting using forward rates. These contributions intersect economics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, with applications to central banking and global financial markets.
Other Roles: Editor of "Rastanews" and member of the Data Science Working Group at the University of Pécs.
