Zoe Bezeczky is a Research Associate and doctoral student at Cardiff University's Children’s Social Care Research and Development Centre (CASCADE). She holds affiliations with both the School of Social Sciences and the School of Medicine. Her PhD, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, explores how multi-agency protocols support care-experienced children at risk of criminalization.
Education: MSc (Distinction) in Social Science Research Methods and BSc (1st Class) in Psychology, both from Cardiff University. Prior roles include Research Assistant positions at Public Health Wales and Cardiff University's School of Medicine.
Her research focuses on child welfare, social work practices, criminal justice interventions, and policy evaluation. Key projects include evaluating the Welsh Basic Income Pilot for care leavers, assessing Schwartz Rounds in social care, and analyzing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in offender populations.
Publications span topics like psychological distress in social work staff, repeat missing child reports, and family preservation services. She collaborates widely, contributing to both academic journals and governmental reports.
Current projects include protocol evaluations to reduce youth criminalization and the Basic Income Pilot. Past work includes studies on prison populations, forensic psychiatry, and organized crime interventions.
