Zlatko Valentić is a Researcher at the Husserl Archive Freiburg, affiliated with the Faculty of Philosophy at Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg. He focuses on philosophical hermeneutics and political philosophy, particularly the works of Hans-Georg Gadamer, Aristotle, Machiavelli, and Hobbes.

- Doctoral candidate since 2017 on "Political Understanding – The Political Turn of Hans-Georg Gadamer's Hermeneutics" supervised by Prof. Hans-Helmuth Gander and Prof. Jean Grondin
His research explores intersections between hermeneutics and political theory, including populism, historical caesuras, and the application of Gadamer's philosophy to political contexts. He has organized significant academic conferences, such as the 2020 "60 Years of Truth and Method" symposium.
Key projects include the radio/podcast show Philosophisches-Experiment (since 2009) and interdisciplinary collaborations with institutions like dctp.tv and publishers Suhrkamp/Meiner. His academic work has been supported by prestigious scholarships from Cusanuswerk and Freiburg Scientific Society.
