Dr. Theodore George is a Professor of Philosophy and Presidential Impact Fellow at Texas A&M University, with adjunct roles at the University of Calgary and Western Sydney University. He specializes in contemporary hermeneutics, continental ethics, and German philosophy since Kant. His research explores Gadamer, Hegel, and the intersections of art, language, and ethics. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Villanova University (2000).
Dr. George’s scholarly works include *The Responsibility to Understand* (2020), *The Gadamerian Mind* (co-edited, 2022), and contributions to *The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy*. He has been supported by grants from SSHRC, Fulbright, DAAD, and the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies. His teaching excellence was recognized with the Texas A&M Teaching Award.

His articles analyze hermeneutic realism, Gadamer’s legacy, and the philosophy of grief. Recent work extends into poetic expression through *Motherfisher: a haiku-story of grieving in the age of COVID* (2021).
