Zipporah Camille Thompson is an Assistant Professor of Textiles at Georgia State University, Atlanta. Her work bridges fiber art, ceramics, and sculpture, focusing on themes of ancestral connection, environmental justice, and marginalized narratives. She holds a BFA in Fibers from UNC Charlotte (2008) and an MFA in Textiles and Ceramics from the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art (2015).

Her research explores alchemical transformations of materials—such as textiles, clay, and found objects—to address social and ecological crises. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at MOCA GA, the Zuckerman Museum of Art, and Alabama Contemporary.
