معرفی
Prof. Zhiming Li is a former member and Guest Group Leader at the Department of Microstructure Physics and Alloy Design, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Central South University, China. His research focuses on high-entropy materials (HEMs), including alloys (HEAs) and ceramics (HECs), emphasizing metastability engineering to enhance mechanical properties through innovative strengthening and toughening mechanisms. He explores phenomena such as high-stress twinning, sluggish martensitic transformation, and metastable phase incorporation in HECs.
Research interests include alloy design, materials processing, segregation behavior, corrosion mechanisms, and surface engineering applications. His work bridges fundamental microstructural analysis with practical material development, particularly in extreme environments involving hydrogen embrittlement and severe plastic deformation.
Led the 'High-Entropy Alloys' research group, collaborating with interdepartmental and international partners. Active in disseminating findings through academic talks, with recent presentations on metastability-driven property enhancements in multicomponent systems.
