Zhichun Zhou serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Webster University's School of Education, St. Louis Main Campus. Her academic expertise spans Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Assessment, Behavioral Economics, Challenging Behavior, Human Development, and Human Motivation.
Dr. Zhou earned her Ph.D. in Human Development with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Rochester and holds Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) certification.
Her research focuses on understanding the functional motivations of human behavior, particularly for individuals with neurodevelopmental and mental disorders. Current projects include developing interdisciplinary models to integrate biological and environmental factors for improving quality of life among people with disabilities, and creating individualized behavioral assessments for challenging behaviors in multiply diagnosed individuals. She employs didactic and dialectic teaching methods to cultivate critical and creative thinking in students.
Dr. Zhou combines scholarly rigor with practical application in behavior analysis, emphasizing conceptually systematic approaches to behavioral interventions and assessments within educational contexts.
