Zack Deininger is a Teaching Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Bands at Kansas State University's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Wind Conducting from the University of South Carolina and has extensive experience in band education, conducting, and curriculum development.

His research interests and professional work focus on music education pedagogy, wind conducting techniques, marching band drill design, and leadership training for student musicians. Dr. Deininger is actively involved in national organizations, including the College Band Directors National Association, National Association for Music Education, and Pi Kappa Lambda. He also serves as a staff instructor for leadership training at national music camps and the Macy’s Great American Marching Band.
