Dr Yvonne Kong is a part-time academic at the Central Clinical School, University of Sydney, where she supports academic and student support programs. She is affiliated with the Haematology Research Group at the Charles Perkins Centre and coordinates Haematology teaching for the Central Clinical School as part of the Sydney Medical Program.
Her research focuses on abnormal platelet activation in disease and platelet calcium handling, particularly in the context of thrombosis and myeloproliferative neoplasms. She also contributed to earlier work on wound healing and dermal regeneration through biomaterial applications like tropoelastin.
