Dr Yusuf Ag is a Lecturer (Teaching Fellow) in Accounting at the Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. He joined in 2023 after completing his PhD in Accounting and Finance at the University of Liverpool.
- Research Interests: Market-based Accounting Research, Financial Reporting, CSR/ESG/Sustainability Reporting and Assurance
- Teaching: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Sustainability Accounting
His research focuses on the intersection of accounting, corporate governance, and sustainability, with a particular emphasis on ESG reporting frameworks and their real-world impact. Yusuf actively participates in top-tier academic conferences such as the American Accounting Association (AAA), European Accounting Association (EAA), and British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA).
- Supervision: Currently supervising PhD student Daniel Birungi
- Collaborations: Member of the Centre for Research in Accounting, Accountability and Governance, Centre for Accounting Education (CAE), and CESAR (Centre of Excellence in Sustainability Accounting and Reporting)
