Yung-Yi Mosley is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). She also serves as the Faculty Section Head of Serology/Virology and Molecular Diagnostics at the Tifton Veterinary Diagnostic and Investigational Laboratory. Her work focuses on improving diagnostic methodologies and advancing animal health through vaccine development and disease surveillance.
Education:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan
- Master of Science (MS) from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan
- PhD in Virology & Vaccinology from Purdue University
Research Interests: Dr. Mosley is dedicated to innovating diagnostic tools, optimizing existing tests, and streamlining workflows to enhance disease detection efficiency. She also actively monitors animal disease outbreaks and develops vaccines targeting zoonotic and endemic pathogens. Her expertise spans virology, immunology, and molecular diagnostics, enabling her to address complex challenges in infectious disease prevention and control.
Service Affiliations: She is affiliated with the Tifton Veterinary Diagnostic and Investigational Laboratory and holds a board certification as a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists (ACVM). Her professional service includes roles in academic leadership and clinical research.
